Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB), is defined as a change in any or combination of frequency, duration, amount bleeding, common gynecological complaint that affects 10‑30% reproductive‑aged women and constitute about one‑third all outpatient visits. Mirena hormonal intrauterine device classified long-acting reversible contraceptive method. Women with heavy menstrual blood loss, the LNG‑IUS can normalize flow. This high level levonorgestrel endometrium induces dramatic effects leading to unique mode therapeutic action LNG‑IUS. Initially developed decrease risk expulsion by reducing myometrial contractility.
